Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. 
  • Ensure compliance across all manufacturing processes and support audits and certifications.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, track metrics such as defect rates, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Use statistical tools and root cause analysis to identify trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, A3, Fishbone, FMEA) with cross-functional teams to address internal and external quality issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution and communication of quality concerns to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues, including managing complaints, returns, and corrective actions.
  • Champion the customer certification (e.g. Ford Q1, GM BIQS...) and maintain the scorecard.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality meets specifications and drive supplier development initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement through training, coaching, and engagement.
  • Manage continuous improvement for quality related issues / processes; e.g. by evaluating and developing improved techniques for the control of the quality and reliability of the products.
  • Management of quality team to achieve all the quality related performance.
  • Maintain information security management system process, regular report the performance to top management, including improvement needs, supervise and coordinate internal audit team, evaluate information security incidents, assess information security events and system weakness reports, and take preventive measures.
  • Protect the information assets of this position.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Education/Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Quality/ Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy/Foundry Engineering related area
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quality Manager in auto industry 
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems including IATF 16949. 
  • Familiar with quality tools, such as SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, 7 basic quality tools
  • Must be able to analyze data, identify trends, and drive resolution of internal and external quality concerns.
  • Good capability of making Quality and Process audit
  • Self-motivated and cooperative, good interpersonal skills
  • Customer Oriented and high accountability
  • Strong problem solving and continuous improvement skills
  • Experience of Lean Production is preferred
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Good computer literacy.
