Job Purpose

Maintain and improve plant quality controls through recurring analysis and communication to multidisciplinary teams regarding internal findings, customer complaints, scrap trends, etc., to collaboratively define actions and monitor the corresponding action plans. Maintain and update information on preventive and corrective actions in control documents such as CP, IT, and AV, ensuring FMEA with manufacturing, etc. Support compliance with the requirements necessary to maintain ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications. Serve as a supervisor of auditors and quality technicians in the processes, ensuring the development of knowledge and skills to strengthen standardization in quality control criteria and practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement improvements to methods, techniques, and procedures through the Integrated Quality System, so that these positively impact plant objectives and optimize production costs.

Ensure the quality of processed and finished products, in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, to guarantee that they meet customer requirements and specifications and internal standards. 

 

Develop the necessary IT and AV procedures and quality criteria to communicate quality controls. Coordinate root cause analyses with the multidisciplinary team, focusing on the top offenders identified internally and externally.
 
 
 

Education and Qualifications

Engineer Career 

Analysis and problem-solving: 8D, 3L5W, Shainin/Red X (the latter being desirable)

 

Skills and Competencies

Drawing interpretation, GD&T geometric tolerances Core tools (APQP, CP, FMEA, PFD, MSA)

Use of basic measuring instruments (micrometer, height gauge, vision equipment, pin gauges)

Poka-yoke management, Red Rabbit definition

Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949:2016
