Job Purpose
Position Overview:
Dana is seeking to hire a Paint Booth Operator in Yorktown, Indiana. This position is responsible for successfully commits him/herself to complete all training requirements to continuously improve his/her skills. Demonstrates independent decision-making skills on day-to-day production tasks that steadfastly pushes self and others for results. Prepared and receptive mind that looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge. Thrives in a fast-paced environment that enjoys hard work. Adds value to the team by immersing him/herself in challenges and comes up with new and unique ideas for solutions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to safely operate overhead crane and practice proper lifting techniques.
• Apply wash solution with brush/tools and move to paint area.
• Remove any other residue from surface, tape off mounting areas, and paint to specifications.
• Apply Serial Number Tag and apply rust prevention solution on unpainted surfaces.
• Secure product in proper containers for shipping and complete associated logistics paperwork.
• Recognize basic inconsistencies with related production orders.
• Ability to read assembly drawings.
• Ability to visually identify components.
• Ability to perform quality checks as required.
• Ability to interact with all other departments.
• Ability to perform light shop maintenance.
• Communicate needs of supplies to shop foreman in timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work overtime as required.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanics.
• Experience with operating industrial material handling equipment.
• Must be detail-oriented and accurate.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
• Must have a high energy level and be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must be highly motivated and be a strong team player.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license or occupational driving privileges
