Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading a team working on durability and performance predictions of innovative heat exchanger products
- Able to provide direction and input for both finite element analysis (FEA) focusing on fatigue and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for heat transfer analysis
- On a day-to-day basis, provide guidance to team and help with them for any challenges in technical side.
- Lead continuous improvement for simulation programming and processing with the correlation from actual test.
- Collaborate frequently with global technical centers in Europe and North America.
- Participate in personal, electronic, and / or documented interface with other engineering team from application engineering, material engineering and validation engineering through project development.
- Assist in preparation and support technical presentations to customers, as needed utilizing all resources available to develop new program opportunities in support of the functional department for new business acquisition.
- Any other tasks assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Mechanical / Fluid Mechanics or Similar.
- Progressively responsible engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive company or powertrain company. At least 5 years of working experience for FEA and/or CFD.
- Knowledge and understanding of simulation software such as Star-CCM+ and Abaqus.
- Experience in refrigerant / heat pump applications and 1D prediction in Amesim or Matlab/Simulink/Simscape will be bonus.
- Tracking record demonstrating success in teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives.
- PC Skills – Word, Powerpoint, Excel including proficiency in a programming language such as Python, C/C++ or Matlab.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP are assets, Familiar with IATF 16949.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
