Production Buyer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze material market; understand basic information of supplier’s qualification and cost.
• Look for supplier, contact them and conduct the site visit, set up the basic supplier information.
• Monitor supplier performance.
• Provide input into and maintain database for Chinese suppliers
• Generate and maintain the necessary management and performance reports as required by global management team
• Control of account payable for purchased commodity.
• Assist the technical meeting between Engineering and suppliers.
• Prepare sourcing material and present the sourcing council meeting internally.
• Conduct spending analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities across assigned commodities and suppliers.
• Analyze purchasing data, including price trends, PPV (Purchase Price Variance), market indexes, and supplier performance metrics, to support sourcing and negotiation strategies.
• Know information security management system and requirements.
• Protect the information assets of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business equivalent.
• At least 5 years purchasing experience with a manufacturing background in one or some of the following areas: rubber, plastic, metalworking, machining, fabricating, and/or assemblies.
• Prefer someone with exposure to the automotive, heavy truck, or off-highway industries.
• Familiar with Aftermarket suppliers will be a strong advantage.
• Purchasing certification or advanced degree is considered a plus.
• Familiar with all computer tools ，ERP skill and capable of generating detailed reports.
• Familiar with IATF16949 requirements.
• Strong administrative skills
