Job Purpose

Description / Requirements:
This Dana facility is located less than three miles from Stellantis current Toledo North Assembly Plant, where the current Jeep Wrangler is manufactured. The plant will assemble front and rear axles for the next-generation Jeep Wrangler, keeping the history of the location in Toledo alive. In addition to the proximity to FCA’s Toledo plant, Dana’s new site is optimally located to support automakers throughout the region.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 
•    ““Represent the Voice of the Customer” by Coordinating, Managing, and Facilitating the Quality Department to achieve “Ultimate Customer Satisfaction”, by managing and facilitating the customer relationship. 
•    Responsible for leading department initiatives through a collaborative team effort to fulfill customer requirements, team building and training. 
•    Oversee, provide leadership for and coordinate activities for the quality function within the plant. 
•    Prepare, manage and control the department budget that meets or exceeds plant goals and objectives. 
•    Maintain and submit plant consolidated reports (External PPM report, Quality Issues, Scorecard, Supplier Top 5, Supplier Performance Feedback System Reports, Quality Web Site, etc.) 
•    Monitor all customer Quality related web sites for compliance and current requirements. Develop and maintain procedural systems in accordance with TS16949 and customer specific requirements. 
•    Participate in, champion, Internal and Preventative CAR’s and perform root cause analysis with action plan implementation. 
•    Implement quality systems and initiatives. 
•    Direct Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP/PPAP). 
•    Responsible for coordinating investigations and responses to customer complaints and corrective action system. 
•    Manage Customer Quality Rejects and Returned Material and 8D Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions. 
•    Maintain and manage a trained qualified capable quality staff able to execute the quality processes, procedures, and responsibilities of the quality operating system. 
•    Oversee process capability studies and quality audits.
•    Lead and support all warranty management and remediation efforts, inclusive of customer relationship management, contract management, and problem-solving activities to actively manage and minimize warranty spend.

Typical Education Required:
•    Bachelor Degree in Quality or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience in Manufacturing or Quality. 

Typical Experience Required:
•    5 years of experience as a supervisor; automotive component supplier manufacturing experience preferred. 
•    Proficient in blueprint and specification reading, measurements, capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, SPC, and GD&T. 
•    Quality System tools experience preferred, i.e. DOE, FMEA, PPAP, GR&R, QFD, SPC, CPK, ISO/TS, 3 path 5 why, 8D etc 
•    CMM, related Metrology skills, and high complexity assembly, and OE warranty is preferred
•    Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
•    ASQ or equivalent Quality Certifications is a plus. 
•    Excellent organizational, team building, conflict resolution, problem solving, planning, decision-making & interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work overtime and travel as required. 
•    Management experience in a Union facility

 Certifications Required/Preferred:
•    TS16949 internal auditing training.
•    AIAG core tools.
•    Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
