Job Location: DITC, Pune

Educational Qualification

B.E (Mechanical/ Automobile) - Full time from a Premium Institute

Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum 20 years’ experience with 10 years role as Quality head in a similar industry

Nature of Experience

Automotive business is preferred with a lean manufacturing environment

Role:

Responsible for leading Quality for Dana plants in India, Australia and Thailand

Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance to Quality Management system according to ISO 9001 standards and IATF
  • Lead Continuous quality improvement activities in all plants
  • Ensure Safe launch and support advance quality
  • Responsible for incoming quality and Supplier Quality Assurance
  • Ensure process quality, final product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Manage the 2nd and 3rd parties’ audits (customer and certification organization audits)
  • Support and participate into the Change Management Process within the plant
  • Define quality improvement plan and the quality KPI targets with related reports, Drive actions plan to achieve Zero Defect
  • Manage quality KPI monthly reporting
  • Ensure Warranty management and timely resolution of warranty issues
  • Champion, support or lead quality improvement initiatives and 8D process in case of customer complaint

Technical Skill and Experience:

  • Knowledge of industrial manufacturing process - Assembly, Painting, Machining, Casting, heat treatment, gear manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and automotive standard (IATF 16949); Qualified internal Auditor
  • Knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
  • Knowledge of problem solving methodology - 8D/ DMAIC/ RedX/ Shainin DOE
  • A knowledge of statistics is required with general numeracy, coupled with good interpersonal skills. The job function covers all aspects of a work group's or company's operation and requires the ability to assimilate and analyse information
