Position Summary

We’re looking for a Sr. Engineer, Software & Control in Rovereto (TN).

 

The sought figure will be involved in embedded software development of mechatronic systems in the off-highway market with particular focus on electric vehicles.

In this role, the candidate is expected to collaborate with the rest of the team in defining, planning and implementing embedded control logics for electronic controller units, leveraging Software Engineering techniques with a holistic approach.

Main Responsibilities

Depending on the on-going projects and roles, embedded software developer Engineer’s activities may include the following:

- Definition of the most efficient software architecture related to the input requirement specifications

- Definition and implementation of control logics controlling systems and components

- Utilization of tools and methods for software implementation, requirement tracing and software testing

- Software level requirement evaluation and development

- Experimental/field data analysis

- Preparation, organization and presentation of project documentation (design documents, technical reports)

- Automatic software generation/test/compiling toolchain development and optimization

 

- Application of Embedded Software Engineering principles, guidelines and workflow defined by the One Dana Mechatronic System development approach

- Implementation of control logics for mechatronic systems leveraging Model Based development

- Development of control strategies for OH machines applications

- Report out of software development activities updates to management and leadership

- Continuous enhancement of Environment, Health & Safety culture

Job position Requirements

 

Education: University master degree - Mechanical/Mechatronic/Automation Engineering

 

Professional background 

3-5 years experience in industry/academia on mechatronics projects. Strong experience in model based software development and automatic code generation.

 

Hard skills 

 

Essential:

Very good engineering basics

Strong knowledge of Matlab/Simulink

Advanced skills in model based design (Simulink) and automatic code generation (Embedded Coder)

Strong knowledge of C-code programming language

Familiar with Python programming language

Familiar with software testing MIL (Simulink Test), Simulink check and Simulink requirements

Familiar with static code analysis (Polyspace BF and CP)

Familiar with CANbus communication (Standard and J1939)

Fluent English

 

Considered as a plus: Vector CanAlyzer/CanApe/Candela Studio

Familiar with UDS and XCP protocols

Familiar with CanOpen

Familiar with Azure/Jenkins pipeline environment
