Position Summary
We’re looking for a Procurement Manager in Reggio Emilia Location.
Reporting to the Planning Manager and leader of a team (5 people), the Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability of materials at the right time and place to support seamless operations.
This role requires strong problem solving, meticulous inventory monitoring and effective stakeholder coordination to mitigate risks related to material shortages or surpluses. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison between Quality, Production, Logistic and Purchasing teams, ensuring alignment and smooth execution of supply chain activities. On the other hand will be responsible of suppliers development to reduce lead time and increase performance.

Main responsibilities
• Proactive approach to manage the team, define and ensure the development plan in every aspect.
• Working with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials and resolving any issues related to supplier performance, such as quality problems.
• Coordinating with other departments and project managers the suppliers development projects (e.g. phase in/phase out, Logistic agreement, potential crisis disrupts freight traffic) and resolve roadblocks.
• Managing inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Analyzing demand forecasts to anticipate material needs and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Tracking and managing the movement of materials from suppliers to production.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce costs.
Job Position Requirements
Education: University bachelor degree - Mechanical or management engineering

Considered as a plus:
• 3+ years of experience as a Material Plannero higher position in a manufacturing company.
• SAP ERP ( module WM, MM, PP)
• APICS certificate
