Position Summary

We're looking for an EHS Specialist in Reggio Emilia location.

Under the direction of the EHS Manager, HSE Specialist will be in charge of all EHS topics and ISO 14001 and ISO45001 procedures and development and will collaborate in the hazards identification, risks assessment and EHS misures implementation to continously improve the work environment, machines/equipment and utilities, production flow and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities

Collaborate to/by:

• Definition of plant guidelines and policies for EHS and Sustainability topics

• Hazard identification, risks assessment, identification and implementation of measures for health and safety in the working environment and to minimize impact on the environment, in compliance with the laws in force and based on specific knowledge of plant organization

• Development and maintenance of the Health, Safety and Environment  Management System, certified as per standards ISO45001 and ISO14001

• Guarantee that these Systems are submitted to periodical audits to ensure continuous improvement in the performance

• Analyze the applicable health, safety and environment regulations and act as driver for the actuation and fulfillment;

• Collaborate with technical departments to define prevention and protection measures to be taken

• Identify personal protection devices to be used as a consequence of the risks assessment

• Propose workers’ information and training programs cooperating in the organization and distribution

• Guarantee that medical and paramedical supervision is suitable for the plant needs

• Guarantee that collection of main sustainability, safety, health and environment KPI is executed in consistency with the methods and tools defined, providing the processing for analysis

• Support the Maintenance Team in the regulatory equipment inspection and energy management and monitoring to identify and implement sustainability projects

• Manage the external contractors

• Make use of persons outside the plant having particular professional knowledge, necessary to integrate prevention and protection actions (for example, to carry out environmental measurements)

• Assure the right classification, identification, storage and management of the waste for their right disposal

Job Position Requirements

Education: University bachelor degree “Ingegneria” or “Tecnico della prevenzione”

Professional background

• At least 3 years' experience in the role in structured and continuous improvement-oriented industrial settings.

• Experience in metal industry is a plus

Hard skills

Essential:  

• Good English level

• EHS legal requirement

• ISO14001 and ISO 45001 knowledge

• Microsft Office (Mainly Excel)

Considered as a plus:    

• Lean Manufacturing, WCM, Six Sigma

• Power BI

• Engineering drawing knowledge

Soft skills

• Dynamism, personal initiative and willingness for continuous improvement

• High analytical, planning and goal-oriented skills

• Excellent skills in the relational and negotiating sphere, with a marked openness to sharing and confrontation

• Good tendency to teamwork
