Job Duties and Responsibilities

Educational Qualifications
ME/MTech/PhD Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Automotive / Power Electronics (IITs/NITs or any other reputed university)
Minimum years of experience
12 – 15 years of experience
Nature of experience
OEM Auto / Auto Ancillary (tier 1) / Motor Industry for automotive applications
3-5 yr Exposure of leading teams
Technical skills / Personal attributes
• Expert understanding of construction and working of various motors like PMSM / IPM / SRM/EESM/PMaSRM
• Good knowledge of the automotive powertrain, hybrid and electrified vehicle powertrains and application of the electric motors, motor inverter system • Good knowledge of HV/LV Motors and deep knowledge on fundamentals of electrical domain. Solid experience in the application of Finite Element Analysis to electromagnetics problems
• Tools: Altair Flux, HyperStudy, Simlab, MotorCAD, JMAG, Ansys Maxwell, Manatee and MATLAB
• Conversant with ISO26262 and functional safety (FuSa) requirements for driveline. Able to deal with ASIL ratings would be added advantage
• Hands of exposure to programming languages like m-Scripting, Python, VB scripting and Object Oriented Programming is nice to have
• Knowledge of embedded HW, Power Electronics Components (special inverter PCBAs and Gate drivers) design and development will be added advantage
• Strong skills to analyze results and derive conclusions is must
• Strong international and multicultural mindset combined with a team-oriented leadership style

Job Description / Responsibilities Technical:
• Appreciation of the system level interactions between electrical machines and power electronics, thermal management, mechanical and NVH for electrical/mechanical components.
• Perform advanced electromagnetic design and analysis, performance characteristics (efficiency and loss maps, Torque and power envelope), sensitivity analysis, active short circuit analysis, rotor and stator optimization, demagnetization study and NVH analysis
• Able to interpret motor test results form test rig and correlation with simulation results and finding out the technical conclusions
• Expert in winding and insulation design. Knowledge in material selection for winding, stator rotor laminations and depth understanding of permanent magnets
• Analyze localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly.
• Work on technical planning and monitor execution
• Support to manufacturing to solve the technical issues on need basis
• Has basic knowledge of the National and international standards governing motors and its parts
• Capability of promote standardization and use of best design practices and continuous improvement of products working within the framework of the New Product Implementation process as stated within the management guidelines.
• Knowledge of PCB and power electronics components will be added advantage.
• Able to take part in team reviews and use systematic problem-solving skills with effective communication.
