Job Duties and Responsibilities

Position: Customer Solution Engineer (CV)

Location-Dana India Technical Centre Pvt.Ltd.
279, Raisoni Industrial Park, Phase-II Hinjewadi Pune -411057. |

Responsibilities: 
▪ This engineering role will constantly interact with customers to understand their 
requirements and applicate suitable Dana products. 
▪ Incumbent will provide technical assistance to customers in selecting suitable Dana 
products that serves their application needs. 
▪ Incumbent will process application approvals for Dana products, such as 
conventional Steer axles, Drive axles and e-axles. 
▪ Incumbent will perform design calculations and stack-ups as required. 
▪ Incumbent will work both individually and collaboratively with global teams in 
China, Europe, America, and South America to meet customer requirements.
▪ Incumbent will have to adhere to Dana design review process and seek approvals 
from management for customer programs.
▪ Incumbent will have to adhere to Dana change management process and 
effectively co-ordinate with plant, suppliers and customer on current product 
revisions and VA VE-related activities. 
▪ Incumbent will be engineering representative in efforts to obtain new business 
closely working with sales & other departments.
▪ Incumbent will establish and maintain relationships with plants, customers, 
service, and other functional groups.
▪ Incumbent will effectively communicate the customer voice from field, technical 
needs as well as future requirements.
▪ Incumbent will work across the Product lines to define system solutions and bring 
them to concrete and workable models.
▪ Incumbent will provide technical assistance to customer and effectively relay the 
customer requirements to internal program team.
▪ Incumbent should have awareness of APQP process from business sourcing to post 
launch activities.
 
Desired Knowledge, experiences & skills for Customer solution engineer 
▪ 8-15 yrs. of relevant experience. 
▪ Strong technical background in product engineering and applications engineering 
in drivetrain products as related to the Commercial vehicle is preferred.
▪ Preferred candidate should have a working knowledge of Drivetrain design & 
layout 
▪ Knowledge on quality tools, APQP, Engineering principles, CAD software 
capabilities 
▪ Knowledge on Electrification will be added advantage.
▪ Effective planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to handle 
multiple priorities under pressing deadlines and set priorities as an individual 
contributor
