Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect data for several Value Added/ Value Engineering projects.
- Process development & documentation of manufacturing work instructions.
- Assist and test the development of new operator friendly tooling designs/capabilities.
- Perform research, design & development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods & production equipment.
- Design, assemble, test and analyze specified products to meet various customer performance requirements
- Write and present reports on all active projects.
- Assist production with manufacturing issues as required.
- Interface with other disciplines including: production, safety, and lean manufacturing
- Record and collect test data.
- Uphold the mission and quality statement.
- All other duties as directed by management.
Required Skills:
- Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, BSME preferred.
- Experience with Manufacturing or Assembly a plus
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical
- Computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to permit effective interaction with all levels of Dana and external customers.
- Self-directed and motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and accepts responsibility.
