Job Duties and Responsibilities

•    Safety First! Safety Always! Support a preventive safety culture throughout Dana
•    Assist in development and expansion of Power Technology’s primary product lines, utilizing engineering methodologies in conceptual design, product manufacturing, and validation.
•    Develop and maintain documentation.
o    Open issues list for design and engineering related issues.
o    Design Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEA).
o    Design Verification Planning and Reports (DVP&R) with progress reports.
o    Program archive file
•    Participate in Value Analysis and Value Engineering Activities
•    Develop testing concepts for validating unique component features.
•    Work with Applications Engineering personnel to complete all product designs in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
•    Work with the Validation group to complete all product validation per developed DVP&R.
•    Assist in development and expansion of new product lines/concepts supporting Application Engineering staff.
•    Interface with manufacturing facilities to ensure design can be manufactured within manufacturing requirements.
•    Support benchmarking activities to maintain knowledge of competitor activity.
•    Assist Application Engineering with updating Customer specification database.


Education and/or Experience:
•    Pursuing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
 
Requirements:
•    Strong written and oral communication skills that allow the individual to express technical information in a clear and concise manner
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software suite
•    Must be a proven self-starter with proven time management ability
•    This individual must enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently without constant direct supervision.
