Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process hourly and salary payroll; including any temporary employees
  • Maintain Time and Attendance system
  • Manage FMLA process to include tracking of time & follow-up
  • Ensure orientation for newly hired employees and contractors is completed
  • Assist with talent acquisition and talent management activities for hourly personnel (temporary services, direct hire personnel and internal talent activities) including pre-employment and on-boarding process.
  • Interpret & apply contract language, company policies, & work rules.
  • Facilitate issue resolution between employees and managers, as required
  • Assist and facilitate employee development and engagement programs; including community service and involvement
  • Coordinate facility(s)’s communication efforts (i.e., monitors, plant meetings, etc)
  •  Maintain files (hourly and salary)
  • Generate HR analytical reports & metrics using HRIS system.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field or related experience in lieu of degree.  
  • Experience with SAP or like software for payroll and people data management preferred
  • Knowledge of HR law including FMLA, ADA, HIPPA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA. 
  • Computer experience with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to build credibility with Associates on the shop floor.
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Ability to work varied hours at times to support Operations.
