Team Lead, HIL

Job Purpose

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered EV System & Software, driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains.  Serving two primary markets – Light vehicle, aand commercial truck– Dana provides the world’s original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees direct report functions such as interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, evaluating performance, and/or developing staff, work schedules/vacations, and assignments; organizes staff meetings; coordinates continuing education training and in-services for staff.
• Lead and responsible for the V&V overall development/commissioning of Hardware-In-Loop (HIL – dSPACE/Typhoon/Vector) and Lab Engineering Team within the Global LV EV System and Software Organization, including tooling, customers’ HIL boxes, & plant model development.
• Timely deploy all HIL commission to all programs team (internally/externally).
• Actively engage with (internally/externally) vendors in aligning with the latest technology update as part of HIL continuous improvement such plant model development, change request, & quotations.
• Strategy of long-term reuse HIL equipment globally as part of cost saving initiative.
• Lead the road map and justify the capital expenditures of HIL across global locations.
• Managing all lab test equipment calibration (internally/externally), acquire new, renew all existing hardware and Software tooling for all benches.
• Oversees HIL lab inventory and managing of selecting, purchasing, storing, and allocating of laboratory equipment, supplies, and data analysis tools.
• Responsible for laboratory equipment, supplies, and data analysis tools including inspecting, maintaining, and/or troubleshooting; performs and documents routine advanced quality assurance and preventive maintenance.
• Lead overall V&V HIL commissioning team to meet technical, quality and project budget targets.
• Support a standard product methodology mindset, seek opportunities to re-use solutions, improve quality and reliability whilst reducing the delivery timeline and associated costs.
• Understand the key milestones in the programs plan, ensure that the plan correctly provisions for the required all HIL commissioning and lab management related activities.
• Performs various technical duties in support of research activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Software), Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Essential: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Essential: Working Experience in Automotive Tools (VectorCast, Vector Canape, CANalyzer/CANoe, CANdella Studio, Typhoon, dSPACE, Automation Desk, Synect, Polarion, Jira, Azure Git).
• Essential: Knowledge of embedded C/C++ software and Model Based Embedded Software Design.
• Knowledge of SW testing methodologies (black box, grey box, interface testing, validation life cycle).
• Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, Cyber Security Testing Methods.
• Good analytical skills, curious, and autonomous and ability to work with multidisciplinary and global team.
