Job Purpose
We are seeking a results-driven National Training Manager to lead product, service, and sales training across the North American Aftermarket. This role supports field and customer training, manages content and delivery methods, and drives innovation through technologies like VR, AR, and 3D printing. Reporting to the Senior Manager, National Accounts and Global Training, the National Training Manager plays a key role in enhancing product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and customer engagement through strategic training programs and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for product, service, and sales training for the North American Aftermarket
• Manage Field Training in the U.S. and liaise with trainers globally
• Manage training partners and content
• Coordinate regional product training offerings to prevent duplication and overlap
• Design, develop, and implement training programs to support Dana and customer learning objectives
• Develop cutting edge training support materials (3D printing, VR & AR)
• Lead replication of training best practices from all product lines and groups
• Prepare specialized training on a customer-by-customer basis where needed
• Support expansion of online training materials and programs
• Manage training requests to best leverage available training resources
• Develop training/selling skills of Account Managers to enable them in the field
• Conduct “Hands On” training classes focusing on specific products for specific customers
• Integrate training best practices for all delivery methods. In-person, Podcast, How to, etc.
Education and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience preferred in Engineering, Quality, Training, or a combination of the three
• Associate’s Degree
• 5+ years of Dana product experience or equivalent
• ISO/TS-16949 or QS-9000 knowledge and experience
• Advance Problem-solving training: Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.
Skills and Competencies
• Ability to effectively present training materials to large and small groups
• Demonstrated ability to integrate all products into training presentations that best reflect Aftermarket product offerings
• Be able to identify future training subject needs and prepare support materials.
• Effective working knowledge of quality assurance concepts and procedures to include APQP, PPAP, SPC, etc.
• Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and knowledgeable in GD&T
• Proficient technical skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated leadership, team building, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Courteous, clear, and professional manners in dealing with the Company’s customer base
• Excellent organizational and communication skills – written and oral
• Strong team building and people skills include the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation
• A proven track record of cross-functional interaction
• Travel required approximately 50% to 75%
