Job Purpose

Dana Incorporated is searching for a skilled and highly motivated person to lead the NVH test activities. This person will be responsible for all the test set up, instrumentation, and coordination with the test lab team to acquire high quality data.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

•    Lead the NVH lab test setup, instrumentation and data acquisition of powertrain and vehicle systems as needed.
•    Coordinate with Dana samples team for all NVH drivetrain test units.
•    Work with NVH engineers to install instrumentation and setup data acquisition system.
•    Install test units onto NVH testers and/or in test vehicles and perform the NVH tests.
•    Lead the team in complying with all safety requirements according to specific work areas. 
•    Maintain and track scheduling for NVH lab and garage.
•    Work with NVH engineers to develop NVH procedures.
•    Perform limited mechanical work in the lab and test vehicles as needed.

 

Requirements:
•    High school diploma or GED minimum plus relevant experience or two year degree in mechanical engineering technology.
•    Experience conducting acoustic and vibration measurements including the use of microphones and accelerometers preferred.
•    Experience operating drivetrain dynamometers preferred.
•    Mechanical technician background required.
•    Knowledge of driveline system functionality preferred.
•    Knowledge and interest in data acquisition equipment.
•    Understand general NVH and NVH type analysis preferred.
•    Demonstrated computer proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office and other computer software applications.
•    Must have strong time management and organization skills.
•    Need to be flexible and willing to work additional hours when needed.
•    Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. 
•    Must have a valid driver’s license.
