Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities. This role will focus on optimizing plant layouts, improving material flow, and enhancing operating efficiency to support strategic growth and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

•    Maintain, update, and optimize a Database of Global Facility Layouts and Information:
•    Efficient material flow, presentation & storage, utilizing PFEP and Simulation Tools
•    Optimizing available manufacturing floor space 
•    Define all industrial infrastructure available (Power, Air, Lighting, etc.) 
•    Conduct what-if scenarios 
•    Create industrial engineering corporate standards and cascade to local facilities
•    Work with Global Manufacturing Engineering to realize new equipment launches
•    Support the introduction of Process & Human-Centered Simulations (digital-twins) to the Dana Manufacturing Environment
•    Conduct audit and verification activities for new program & process implementations.  Verify processes are performing to design/targeted level(s).  Develop corrective action plans for noted performance gaps (plan versus actual)
 

Requirements:

•    Industrial Engineering Degree or similar degree

  • 2+ years of direct Industrial Engineering experience 
  • Expert in AutoCAD, Brics, or similar CAD software to modify and create manufacturing layouts, with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, material flow, and other critical elements
  • Experience with formal MTM Systems & Software (AVIX)
  • Knowledge of simulation tools and Discrete Event Simulation
  • Direct experience with plant layout, workplace design, and material flow
  • Proficient with computer-based systems and software, including spreadsheets & statistical applications
  • Analytical & thorough approach, but focused on timely completion and implementation
  • Strong self-starting skills & the ability to manage a diverse & significant workload
  • Ability to design & implement Bench-Mark Pilot Facilities
  • Thorough understanding of Digital Twin Principles
