Job Purpose

The Product Program IT Launch Intern will assist with formulation of program roadmaps and associated IT execution plans.  Applicants must be physically based out of Maumee, OH or Novi, MI.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The student will participate in the following:

  • training on plant floor safety practices
  • overview training: Dana Launch processes, IT deliver cycle within a launch, and technical overviews of cross functional IT solutions (applications, networks, infrastructure)
  • Assist with expanding the content of “IT standardized work/IT playbook” within the context of the Dana Launch process
  • Evaluate current and proposed launch programs: interact with Manufacturing Engineering and Plant teams to assist with documenting program timing, program parameters, and high level IT requirements over a multi-year planning horizon
  • Communicate (verbal & written) status to Program & IT Leadership

Qualifications:

  • High level of interest in Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing related areas
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Pursing a degree in a technical field: Engineering, IT/Computer Science, Operations Research
  • Technical & analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside the organization in a professional manner
  • Uncompromising judgment towards confidentiality and business ethics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
