Job Purpose

This role involves processing vendor payments, accurately inputting journal entries and managing the monthly closing process. It requires performing data queries and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Additionally, it involves responding to ad-hoc financial analysis requests and collaborating with Shared Service groups to improve processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Accurate and timely processing of vendor payments

· Respond to internal and external customer requests to meet their needs and resolve any issues in a timely manner

· Accurate and timely input of journal entries and management of the monthly closing process.

· Prepare and validate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

· Ensure compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

· Provide support for plant controllers, financial analysts, and operations, as needed.

· Facilitate requests from internal and external auditors, providing detailed and reliable information.

· Decision making based on accurate analytics, knowledge of customer needs, knowledge of internal controls and corporate policies, and risk recognition.

· Open and willing to adapt to change and adjust routines accordingly.

· Respond timely to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and decision support.

· Collaborate with other Shared Service groups to standardize and improve processes.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

Position Requirements:

· 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.

· Strong financial accounting knowledge.

· Ability to multitask is imperative.

· Experience in a shared service or plant operations is preferred.

· Flexible schedule, must be able to travel and work extra hours when necessary.

· Ability to perform in stressful situations.

· Possess strong Microsoft Office expertise.

· Issue resolution and problem solving.

· Strong organizational skills and mental agility.

· Willing to adapt to change and adjust routine accordingly.

· Clear and effective written and verbal communication.


Required Education:

· A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for accounting or finance.
