Job Purpose

Supervises employees in a distribution and warehousing environment, plans and organizes production to achieve a smooth and consistent operation that ensures the satisfaction of both internal and external customers.  Assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, work instructions and work conditions. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Employee training and development

Requirements:

  • Support key initiatives of safety, accuracy, cost and productivity to achieve positive results in all areas.  Works to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Schedule daily workload
  • Ensure effective employee relations.  Provide employee coaching and development.  Make employment decisions.  Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Measure and monitor employee and team performance, including visual controls and regular progress reports to Plant Operations Manager
  • Look for ways to continually improve workflow – i.e. Kaizen, Jishuken, process mapping, idea program, Management by Walking around (MBWA) etc.
  • Support customer satisfaction “Internally and Externally”
  • Create and maintain a teamwork environment
  • Perform other related duties as required

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
