Job Purpose
The Human Resources Intern will perform a variety of services as outlined herein and back-up for other areas outlined herein, as well as, policy/procedure interpretation and administration, employee relations, counseling, investigations, FMLA and ADA compliance and record keeping.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Greet employees, answer employee inquiries and / or refer them to the appropriate person.
• Assist with New Hire Orientation and on-boarding
• Make employee badges
• I-9 entry and compliance
• Enter and modify employees in various HR systems
• Create and maintain personnel folders
• Assist with attendance policy
• Conduct interviews for various positions
• Assist HR department with data entry and collection
• Maintain manpower reports
• Maintain emergency contact list
• Provide back-up within the department and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field
⦁ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies procedure manuals and operating instructions.
⦁ Excellent communication and organizational skills
⦁ Knowledge of HRIS – utilization and management
⦁ Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience is a must
⦁ Ability to maintain composure under various levels of pressures, stress, and fast paced actives
⦁ The ability to work as part of a team.
⦁ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
