Job Purpose

Dana Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Supervisor responsible for MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) in Henderson, KY.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a safe department including all safety and other training. Knowledge of and previous application of LOTO and ArcFlash requirements.
  • Manage annual inspection requirements for lifting devices, overhead hoist structures in order to meet federal and state requirements.
  • Supervise all employees in your department including various trades that may include maintenance technicians, general maintenance, toolmakers, and MRO parts crib employees. Includes coaching, training, discipline, performance evaluations, scheduling OT, managing timecards in eTime and attendance.
  • Actively works with vendors to procure MRO crib parts, orders parts for production equipment, manages eMaint work order and PM system to ensure work is properly planned, and parts are available on time to perform maintenance and tool room work.
  • Schedules weekly meeting with operations, maintenance and engineering to prioritize work orders, and arrange scheduled maintenance events as well as discuss weekend work priorities.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of quality as it relates to daily production.
  • Manage multiple shifts by teaming with off shift operations group leaders (Coach, Lead, & Direct)
  • Schedule and post overtime requirements when necessary.
  • Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues. This includes but is not limited to all aspects of automation controls, PLC’s, robotics, and other electrical and electronic monitoring and controls systems.
  • Analyze trends on daily basis and implement immediate and long term corrective actions to achieve goals and help plant efficiency.
  • Update and assess employee-training/education needs at all times.
  • Supports, enforces and complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Support in troubleshooting automation equipment as a technical leader in the facility.
  • Manage the plant’s fleet of auto guided vehicles. This includes traffic software and material flow design.
  • Perform all maintenance planning activities including continual development of our TPM Program and paperless CMMS system.
  • Willing to work weekends, on-call and in person to meet the needs of the plant.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in manufacturing management preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years manufacturing maintenance experience
  • 3+years supervisory experience
  • Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to think and act cross-functionally
  • Strong technical skills (Mechanical and Electrical) and data driven problem solving
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting
