Spare Parts Forecasting & Inventory Planning Analyst

Job Purpose
To ensure optimal spare parts availability by developing accurate demand forecasts and effective inventory planning strategies, supporting high service levels while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
Job Responsibilities and Required Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for spare parts using historical data, market inputs, and statistical models.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as needed to improve performance.
- Define inventory policies by part and location (e.g. safety stock levels, reorder points).
- Identify slow-moving, intermittent demand, and critical parts, applying appropriate forecasting methods.
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, Product Management, and Procurement to gather inputs and align plans.
- Manage KPIs such as fill rate, inventory turnover, availability, and forecast accuracy.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and end-of-life (EOL) planning.
- Use forecasting/planning tools and improve data quality.
- Analyze inventory health, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in forecasting or inventory planning, preferably in the aftermarket or service business.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
- Understanding of inventory management concepts (e.g., ABC analysis, EOQ, safety stock, service level).
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
- Fluent in English.
