Senior Accounting and Tax Analyst

Job Purpose
The Senior Accounting and Tax Analyst will play a key role in managing tax compliance, statutory reporting, and accounting processes for Dana Hungary and related entities. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, adherence to local and international tax regulations, and supports audits and process improvements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare and submit VAT returns for multiple entities and jurisdictions (Hungary, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, France, Poland, Austria).
Prepare Corporate Income Tax and Local Business Tax returns.
Support Global Minimum Tax (GMT) compliance activities.
Provide regular reporting to the Corporate Tax Team on actual and forecasted tax obligations.
Coordinate with external tax advisors (EY) and European Tax Manager for Transfer Pricing documentation.
Prepare calculation of certain defined benefits tax obligations
Prepare and submit local small taxes (Rehabilitation contribution, company car, environmental fee etc.)
Statutory & Financial Reporting
Prepare annual statutory financial statements for Dana Hungary and Dana TM4 Hungary entities.
Manage bookkeeping and statutory financial statements for Dana Management Kft.
Support external audits and tax inspections (liaison with PwC and other key suppliers).
Accounting & General Ledger
Perform payroll-related postings and reconciliations.
Calculate month-end VAT
Review postings for tax and legal compliance.
Process & System Support
Act as local finance support for SAP developments and enhancements.
Participate in process improvement initiatives for accounting and tax workflows.
Coordination & Communication
Serve as a bridge between local finance and the Lithuanian Shared Services (SSO).
Manage relationships with key external suppliers (PwC for audit, EY for tax advisory, R&R for RTIR).
Administrative Tasks
Manage travel expense reports, advances, and deductions.
Handle other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Education and Qualifications
Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Minimum 7 years in accounting, with strong tax compliance and statutory reporting background
Registered Hungarian chartered accountant
Skills and Competencies
In-depth knowledge of Hungarian tax laws and international VAT regulations
Familiarity with Global Minimum Tax and transfer pricing principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Business-level English proficiency
Experience with SAP FICO, audit coordination, and multinational reporting
