Job Purpose
Sets strategic direction for the plant, taking program and/or procedural steps to ensure those objectives are understood by all levels of staff in the plant and across the division.
In line with company operations and electrifications strategy responsible for the deployment of new product and program launches in close cooperation with regional program management and global manufacturing team.
Establishes profit and operational objectives for the plant in conjunction with the plant management team and reporting to the European Operations Director.
Sets engineering, manufacturing, quality, financial, materials and human resources improvement targets with responsible managers, garnering required resources for implementation plans, regularly conferring with responsible managers to ensure services/plant teams are coordinated and implementation is progressing efficiently.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Lead plant management team to meet or exceed Dana Corporate, division and plant targets for business-financial measures, customer service, quality, environmental and occupational health & safety, supplier management, HR utilization
Responsible to ensure the realization of the plant strategic KPIs & process performance indicators and operate practices to improve plant operation performance, quality and communications
Develop capital expenditure, cost reduction programs or innovations designed to improve operations, increase profits or reduce costs
Contribute to the definition of the European Strategy
Deploy plant processes and systems to ensure world class manufacturing processes are achieved
Coordinate and support activities required to deploy lean manufacturing and to develop and sustain a lean culture throughout the organization
Take all the short term decisions to guarantee the safety of all the employees
Create and deploy strategic to motivate, develop and retain workforce
Deploy IATF and ISO policies and customers’ expectations through all the services of plant
Support all the activities required to preserve the integrity and the compliance of the activities according the Hungarian laws and Sarbanes-Oxley
Support DANA Operating System deployment
Expectations:
1. Education: BSc degree in business administration or in engineering field
2. Language skills: fluency in English
3. Work experience: 5-10 years of progressively responsible management experience in manufacturing, working knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean deployment and 3-5 years of experience in leading management team / managers
Other skills: strong problem solving, superior communication skills, self-starter and results-orientated personality
