Job Duties and Responsibilities
TASKS:
- Design & specify, procurement and validation of manufacturing, machine, stamping die, test tooling/fixtures, machines and equipment retrofit, improvement on existing and running equipment (FAT, Installation, SAT, Documentation
- Lead PFMEA and Process Mapping (VSM) activities to identify manufacturing risks and optimize build processes
- Define and manage Layout modification linked to the equipment that is included in his project responsibilities
- Development of processes and procedures from beginning to SOP
- Preparation and release of Work Instructions detailing of all processes
- Creation of product routings within SAP system
- Support all aspects of pre-production and post-launch production through project closure (from process definition until the introduction as mass production which is running on quoted performance)
- Manage the acceptance of the equipment by the Plant department like HSE, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering
- Close communication and cooperation with project launch team members
- Develop and implement training programs for process colleagues regarding new technologies, products, manufacturing systems
- Influence design to ensure new designs are optimized for manufacturability, performance, yield and cost
- Lead contact to customers from manufacturing side
EXPECTATIONS:
- University degree in Mechanical, Electronical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in similar field
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean deployment, also 5S
- Superior communication skills, self-starter and results-orientated personality
- Hands-on capability with good knowledge of manufacturing
- Ability to use CAD (Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD) to design fixtures and analyze product, tooling and machine designs
- Experience in project management
- Experience in stamping and forming die designing, production and part analysis is an advantage
- Strong Analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills
- Fluency in English
