Launch Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Launch Coordinator provides leadership in aligning and leading the operational plant activities within the cross-functional project team led by Program Management during the industrialization phase for all relevant project deliverables in compliance with the product development process and Customer milestones till SoP, to guarantee a smooth launch of the new product from the manufacturing plant.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Safety
Verifies all controls and documentation are in place 
Quality
According to specific stage/control plan, verifies all the material is compliant before and after the build
Supports quality team in managing pedigree modifications during C / D sample builds (key interface with Engineering as part of the Change Management process)
Tracks supplier Safe Launch with Advance Quality
Coordinates plant Safe Launch
MP&L
Verifies material availability in accordance with build schedule and part pedigree, including packaging 
Manages C / D sample batch deliveries
Production / Manufacturing Engineering
Verifies cycle time vs simulated time
Verifies OEE and FTT at supplier premises and at Dana (define a proper reporting/monitoring tool, if not already available)
Responsible for capacity verification coordination, including MES documentation and metrics
Ensure that for every issue related to OEE or FTT (including internal scrap), there is a defined action plan owned by the respective responsible parties, monitor progress updates, and drive execution of these plans to resolution
Resources and facilities
Verifies with Operations Manager and HR that skilled people are recruited and available according to program needs
Verifies plant readiness status with facility manager

Requirements

University/college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
min. 5 years of progressively responsible management experience in manufacturing
working knowledge of lean manufacturing and lean deployment
superior communication skills
self-starter and results-orientated personality
Fluent English
