Job Purpose

Coordinate and plan the material requirements necessary for efficient and timely production, based on customer demands in order to have the right materials in a timely manner, as well as maintain adequate inventory levels.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Request and schedule, from and with national and international suppliers, the materials necessary for production, taking into consideration optimal inventory levels, as well as the policies and procedures established for the acquisition of materials, in order to have the necessary materials for production in a timely manner.

Track the shipment, traffic, and receipt of materials by monitoring them to avoid delays in the shipping process.

Negotiate with suppliers the delivery of materials out of specification and time, via telephone, video call or email for shipment and to be able to comply with production plans.

Collect, verify and send to the Customs Broker the invoices and documents required for the importation of the material necessary for production, taking into consideration the policies and procedures established for the importation of materials.

Keep material requirements updated to suppliers by updating items in the Oracle System in order to avoid roughing.
