Job Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare production schedules for assembly line and sub-assembly areas.
- Prepare schedules to provide sufficient lead-time to allow operations to meet required shipment dates to all customers with minimal changeovers by grouping tickets by ship dates and tooling requirements.
- Work closely with Operations group to maintain update status on production schedules.
- Work closely with Customer Service Representation to ensure high customer order completion.
- Provide available to ship timing to Customer Service Representatives.
- Maintain past due customer order tracking file.
- Create and distribute shop floor order tickets and labels.
- Monitor Ford DDL IMS7 systems to ensure schedules meet customer requirements.
- Assist the Materials Department exceeding the DOH goals.
- Assist in coordination of engineering and launch part changes.
- Monitor and termination of old shop floor orders.
- Assist in MS8 running in real time on shop floor.
- Assist in investigation of EDI errors and error resolution.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college course work preferred.
- 3+ years experience in scheduling, demand planning and supply chain management in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Experienced with ERP/MRP software (MS8, SAP, JD Edwards) and MS Office products.
- Knowledge of EDI reports and problem resolution.
- Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented with strong work ethic.
- Must have the ability to work over time and weekends as required.
- Effective communication, organizational, and mathematical skills.
