Job Purpose

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Functions with high degree of independence, making decisions on issues, solutions and risk relative to transactions within their assigned area.
  • Key contact point for AFM retail customers to track customer sales allowances, deductions, and payments. 
  • Work with plant team, sales team, and SSO to streamline accounting process and resolution of discrepancies. 
  • Reconcile key customer account daily / weekly. 
  • Customer/Supplier/Operations escalation management.
  • Cross functional solution partnering for upstream process breakdowns or new business needs.
  • Heavy interaction, verbal and written, with suppliers, customers, and the internal business community.
  • Miscellaneous Other tasks as directed by management.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is preferred
  • Possess strong Microsoft Office expertise, specifically Excel.
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Strong mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective customer service and negotiation skills to handle billing / payment inquiries, disputes, and collections
