Job Purpose

Responsible for various human resources duties with a payroll focus. Requires a broad knowledge of human resources functions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Responsible for weekly and semi-monthly payroll including confirmation, verification of codes, and overtime payments
  • Administration and submittal of annual matters related to payroll processing
  • Respond to day-to-day employee inquiries and requests
  • Generate HR analytical reports and metrics using HRIS system
  • Maintain HR database for employee lifecycle and accurate employee information in HRIS system
  • Support in various administrative responsibilities including the areas of on-boarding, orientation, benefits, transfer, exit, and assignment changes.
  • Coordinate and comply with annual audits.
  • Administer human resources policies, procedures, and programs
  • Assist with recruitment effort for exempt, non-exempt, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations.
  • Assist with the facility’s non-exempt attendance records. Prepares/issues/tracks corrective action for attendance violations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Assist with the implementation, auditing, and training of benefit programs
  • FMLA & disability administration including wage calculations
  • Will be required to perform other HR duties as requested, directed or assigned.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of ADP, SAP, similar HRIS System, (1-3 years of experience)
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Extensive comprehension with word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs with emphasis on Microsoft office tools
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization and properly handle confidential information

Education and Physical Demands

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Education minimum of a 4-year degree (BA or BS) in applicable area or education or experience equivalent.
  • Background in labor relations strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of HR law including FMLA, AADA, HIPPA, EEOC, ADEA, NLRA, ERISA, OSHA, and FLSA.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills – written and oral
  • Strong team building and people skills including the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
