Maintenance Manager

Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, driving preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives, and leading a team of skilled trades professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support operational excellence, safety, quality, and continuous improvement objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily maintenance activities across all shifts, ensuring timely response and resolution of equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to identify priorities and support operational needs.
- Monitor equipment performance, analyze downtime trends, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management, and maintenance system accuracy with the use of eMaint.
- Coordinate line access, maintenance shutdowns, ensure repairs, and troubleshoot efforts during production changeover and recurring equipment issues
- Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers related to equipment, facilities, and grounds maintenance.
- Oversee MRO inventory, parts procurement, tool crib management, and maintenance planning activities.
- Work closely with Engineering on tooling, controls, process improvements, and the implementation of new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure resources are effectively allocated.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Support workforce planning, staffing, performance management, training, and talent development activities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Address employee performance concerns and administer corrective actions when required.
Education and Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Experience with CMMS systems, in particular eMAINT, and maintenance planning processes.
- Proven troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards within manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and cross-functional projects is preferred.
