Position Summary
The hydraulics engineer is part of the team responsible for developing the design and launching the production of flow control and compact hydraulic systems: in particular, oleodynamic systems consisting of control units or power units, cylinder blocks composed of CETOP valves, cartridge valves, bankable valves, and pre-compensated proportional directional valves.
He/she must support the operations department in troubleshooting and assist in the maintenance of products in production, as well as support sales in identifying and developing the most appropriate solution based on the end customer's request.
In addition, he/she joins and supports an international team dedicated to the hydraulic development of complex electro-hydraulic mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulic transmission drive, hydraulic control on axles, etc.).

Main responsabilities
- Analysis the input/customer specifications.
- Estimate the engineering design and testing (ED&T) costs of a project.
- Carry out technical feasibility studies and the final design of the units paying attention to the specifications and principles of design for costing, manufacturing and assembly.
- Follow the preparation of the prototypes connected to their projects and define their validation.
- Evaluate the final product as a whole with reference to performance, quality and safety aspects.
- Follow the resolution of claims from the field and internal using the 8D method.
- Guarantee the correct execution and management of the documentation both for the production and for the customer.
- Identify and propose solutions to solve problems.
- Support the operation during the resolution of the issue related to engineering that rise in the day by day work
- Ability to generate innovative ideas to meet the market and OEM's requirements
- Prepare technical reports pertaining to the assigned project, identify and help manage risks and opportunities for the project.
Job position and requirements
Professional background
- University Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 3-5 years experiences in similar role
- Experience in hydraulic design and development, from concept definition through testing / validation up to industrialization and production.
- Experience in design of electro-hydraulic
- Experience in desing hydraulics cilinders
Hard skills
Essential:
- Clear understanding of technical specifications, both mechanical and hydraulic to ensure engineering designs and deliverables comply with the technical requirements with a design to coast approach.
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing.
- Expert on CAD Software design 3D, preferably Solidworks.
- MS office user.
- Knowledge of the 8d problem solving process.
- Basics of Project Management.
- Understanding of technical specifications electric/electronics.
Considered as a plus:
- Statistical Data analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
- Knowledge of Five whys root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of the Six Sigma and Red X problem solving process.
- Fluent in English.
