Job Purpose
Design and maintain Controls Applications for Dana driveline systems (including transmissions, torque converters, driveline controls) for our off-highway OEM vehicles. Help us lead the way to electrification of drivelines and help make the transition to Functional Safe applications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Description:
Activity area 1: System engineering
Review role on technical concept, stakeholder and system engineering requirements.
Compose V&V criteria
Activity Area 2: Establish and implement powertrain control system
Activity area 3: Verification and Validation
Software releases, both embedded and PC based, need thorough verification. Analyze and feedback test results to developer. Iterate if needed.
This includes:
Explicit & formalized firmware verification according to release notes by means of black box testing:
Simulator
Testbench
Test lab vehicle
Vehicle at OEM site.
PC Tools (Diagnostic and configuration tools)
Formulate V&V criteria on requirements
Verify HiL testing results against predefined criteria
Provide assistance in setting up HiL testing environment.
Activity area 4: Provide support
Provide support to both internal / external customers, fast and correct to support their problems and questions in order to solve them quickly and completely. Indirect support (e.g. training) is also one of the tasks.

Participate in improvement initiatives in order to secure the efficiency, speed and quality of the different verification and validation related activities and communications

Fluent English
Knowledge of embedded controls
Knowledge of control logic of transmissions
Knowledge of off-highway vehicles:

Components of powertrains / drive systems (valve, control systems, axles, ...)
Communication technologies in vehicles
Electronics
Hydraulics
Mechanics
Nice-to have:
Software development experience
Workflow toolchains (e.g. Teamcenter, Jira, …)
Knowledge of measuring systems and application software (Canapé, Canalyser, Dewe43, ...)
Experience with system engineering tools
Proficient in Dutch
