HIL Engineer

Job Purpose
Leverage your experience to develop and execute validation plans, automate processes, and manage our Hardware in the Loop (HiL) platforms. Become a multi-disciplinary expert with skills in mechanics, software, electrical and electronics.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure traceability and compliance to functional, performance, safety (etc) requirements provided by the customers and internal stakeholders
- You will perform test data analysis and report test results. Define and develop automated data extraction and analysis tools to streamline analysis and reporting
- You will create automated HIL tests and contribute to test automation framework using python
- Manage and optimize HiL platforms for comprehensive automated testing
- Drive automation for test cases and processes, create and enhance test automation frameworks and scripts
- Collaborate with system engineering and software teams, during feature development and validation
- Track bugs, ensuring complete verification and closure
- Develop and execute automated regression test suites. Continuously analyze and improve regression test suite coverage
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test procedures, specifications, and reports
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Hard Skills:
Essential:
- Optimal communication and writing skills in English
- Experience with requirement management tools (Polarion, Doors)
- Experience with development of automated validation and software test systems
- Proficiency with scripting and/or systems programming languages: Python
- Familiar with usage of dSpace/Matlab/Simulink
- Able to work with diverse, multicultural teams.
Considered as a plus:
- Experience on electrified systems or vehicles’ architectures, HV components, motors and transmissions
- Familiar with embedded controls
- Familiar with usage of tools - CAN data analysis / simulation (CANalyzer, CANoe), calibration (INCA, CANape)
Professional Background:
- 2+ Years as a System/Validation Engineer within the automotive sector or similar
- Experience in a Tier1 or OEM on eDrives or electrified systems is a plus
