Job Purpose
Do you have a passion for complex mechatronic systems and do you want to be in the forefront of the evolutions in both diesel and electrified drivetrains?
As part of our product development team you will play a key role in the design and development of off-highway transmission systems.
We are looking for a creative and motivated master in (electro-)mechanical engineering with a general interest in drivetrains.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
As part of our multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be involved in the entire product development cycle:
- Conceptual design work
- Calculations & simulations on transmission systems, sub-systems and components
- Component material selection
- Selection and integration of drivetrain components (e.g. e-motors, hydraulics)
- Design reviews and DFMEA’s
- Definition and follow up of testing activities
- Support on field issues
- VAVE activities
As our transmissions are not just developed but also build in Bruges, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely together across different departments, e.g. purchasing, production, quality and many others. This means you’ll see your design become reality from up close.
Must haves are:
- Master in (electro-)mechanical engineering
- Strong problem solving, planning & decision-making skills.
- Autonomous work attitude
- Fluent in English (writing & speaking); Dutch is an advantage
- Must be willing to travel internationally (<5%)
Plusses are:
- Having relevant experience in a driveline development environment
- Experience with finite element and CFD software
- Knowledge on gear design
- Knowledge on matlab/Simulink
- Knowledge on electrification
