Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead product development and validation activities, including FMEAs, design reviews, CAD model creation, finite element analysis (FEA), prototype builds, DV/PV testing, NVH verification, design for manufacturing, supplier tooling and development activities.
• Prepare and maintain the design validation plans and reports (DVP&R) to meet each program milestone.
• Lead and support root cause analysis of technical issues.
• Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
• Develop and maintain cost-reduction ideas and proposals.
• Ensure design reviews are completed as planned to support the program management process.
• Provide technical support to customers throughout all phases of vehicle development, including pre-production, vehicle launch, production validation, start-of-production (SOP) and post-SOP phases.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations (to both customers and Dana internal teams).
• Analyze test data to verify compliance with requirements and develop action plans as needed.
• Analyze warranty data and develop effective countermeasures.
• Propose and implement design solutions to meet cost-reduction objectives.
• Use global engineering resources to deliver optimized designs that can be manufactured economically while meeting customer requirements and project timeli.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3 years of progressive experience in automotive or similar field
• Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in design / development of electrification products
• Knowledge of the automotive electrification sector
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Effective listener and communicator
• Proficient technical skills Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Excel, Project
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive and forward thinking
• Able to effectively interface with other disciplines in the organization to achieve results
• Excellent mechanical aptitude, along with strong analytical capability
• Understanding of and/or experience using CAE tools including: ABAQUS/ANSYS/FESAFE
• Demonstrated experience leading APQP, DVP&R, and DFMEA activities
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to understand prints / stack-ups
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside of Dana in a professional manner
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple responsibilities and meet multiple deadlines
• Must be a self-directed, motivated, and organized individual who is willing to accept responsibility
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
