Engineering Intern - Verification & Validation Process

As an active member of the Product Testing, Validation and Verification team, you will work with the product development, validation and marketing teams. As a Verification and Validation project management trainee, you will assist the V&V project managers and the Validation and Test team in validating our products for installation in tomorrow's electric vehicles. You will participate in the definition, execution and implementation of test strategies for our electric propulsion systems for tomorrow's electric vehicles. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Your challenges

• Design, with the support of experienced designers, to create instructions and work orders for execution by laboratory operators.
• Design new tools for use in the test laboratory.
• Complete tests for fixturing validation.
• The intern will work full-time during the fall months with the possibility of working part-time during the fall and spring semesters.

Your strengths & qualifications

• Student in the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX 3-D modeling software required; NX experience in another program such as CATIA, ProE/Creo, Solidworks or SolidEdge will be considered.
• Practical mechanical skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with hydraulic equipment preferred.
• Experience working with data acquisition systems and PLCs1 (asset).
