Job Purpose
- Design, with the support of experienced designers, to create instructions and work orders for execution by laboratory operators.
- Design new tools for use in the test laboratory.
- Complete tests for fixturing validation.
- The intern will work full-time during the fall months with the possibility of working part-time during the fall and spring semesters.
Experience
- Student in the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX 3-D modeling software required; NX experience in another program such as CATIA, ProE/Creo, Solidworks or SolidEdge will be considered.
- Practical mechanical skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Experience with hydraulic equipment preferred.
- Experience working with data acquisition systems and PLCs1 (asset).
