Job Purpose
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
• Preparing shipments for customers, which includes packaging, banding, shrink wrapping, weighing, labeling, and loading/unloading onto and off trucks
• Auditing and verification of outgoing shipments to ensure quality product is picked up on schedule
• Loading/unloading of freight whether incoming or outgoing
• Movement of materials within the warehouse and campus which includes pulling and putting away product, utilizing and generating reports to achieve on time delivery and inventory accuracy
• Support all departments by transporting product throughout the campus with use of the warehouse truck, forklift, pallet jacks and all other types of material handling vehicles
• 5S, organization, cleanliness of the warehouse area and all equipment utilized for the job
• Consolidation of FG parts in shipping area to create the best utilization of space and racks
• Learn and understand MRP/ERP systems and be able to use all associated devices such as handheld scanners, printers, etc.
• Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing personnel including the analysis of various reports, physical inventory, and system entries.
• Participate in continuous improvement, safety, quality, and housekeeping activities
• Fill in / backup Shipping/Receiving Team members as directed by the supervisor
• Preparations for yearly physical inventory as directed by the supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Computer literacy skills including internet and MRP/ERP systems
• Working knowledge of warehouse control, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and related duties
• Capable of updating computer inventories and documents
• Cross-train in all facets of operation to provide support including shipping / receiving and cycle count.
• Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
• Ability to properly handle confidential information and records
• Must be a self-starter, strong and clear communication skills
• Ability to handle filing and accurate record keeping
• Ability to use material moving equipment such as hand jacks, fork trucks, etc.
• Ability to stay focused in a very busy environment and be able to multi-task
