Job Purpose
This position provides 24-hour production equipment master troubleshooting support. Supports model year changes and warranty process changes. Aids design and implement process changes to improve cost, safety, quality, and speed and data integrity. Responsible for the programming and troubleshooting of computerized equipment and programmable logic controls, (PLC).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of products and production processes and knowledge of quality control standards and systems.
- Computer and controls programming experience in relevant programming languages including but not limited to Programmable Logic Controls.
- Proficient with sensors, measurement devices, and their connectivity to plant control systems.
- Working knowledge of NEC Article 409, “NFPA 79: Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery”, and UL 508A (Supplement SB)
- Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems in dealing with complex machines, analytical software, robots, and process problems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintenance and modification of automated and computerized machinery and related data collection systems, Technical support, Controls programming and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of robots such as coordinate systems, frames, movement types, i/o and connectivity.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics such as the ability to read schematics and an understanding of basic controls.
- Demonstrated knowledge of vision systems for guidance and inspection.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.
- Contributes to building a positive team spirit and displays a great attitude.
Education and/or Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience with the following software: Rockwell Software SQL software programming expert, Microsoft SQL Database programming, Indramat and Atlas Copco fastener drivers.
- Experience programing and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLC.
- Fanuc Robotics experience.
- Familiarity or experience with Siemens controls. Ability to work with a variety of HMI programming software. Experience with vision detection systems and data scanning devices. Understanding of serial and ethernet protocol.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people.
- Must be able to work Overtime and Weekends
