Job Summary
The selected candidate will join the Test and Validation team and will be mainly involved in testing, characterization and analysis of electric motors for industrial and/or automotive applications.
The role offers a hands-on laboratory-oriented experience, working closely with electrical and mechatronic engineers, within a structured technical growth path.
This position is ideal for a young, motivated and proactive person, willing to grow professionally in the electromechanical field and interested in experimental and laboratory activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Execution of test and characterization activities on electric motors, including:
- Asynchronous motors (ACIM)
- IPM motors
- SynRM / SyR / SIR motors
Use of laboratory instrumentation, such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Power analyzers / wattmeters
- Milliohmmeters
- High Voltage insulation testers (HV testers)
- General electrical and mechanical measurement instruments
Setup and operation of test benches, climatic chambers and shakers
Autonomous assembly of simple electrical wiring harnesses for motor drives and motor control
Reading and interpretation of electrical schematics
Disassembly, inspection and mechanical analysis of tested motors
Use of basic mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, etc.)
Data acquisition, post-processing and analysis of test results
Preparation of technical reports and test documentation
Support to continuous improvement of testing procedures and laboratory safety
Education and Qualifications
High School/ITS Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related technical fields
Entry-level profile or short experience in:
• Laboratory testing activities
• Electromechanical systems
• Experimental or validation environments
• Laboratory projects, internships or experimental thesis work are considered a plus
Skills and Competencies
Essentials
- Good fundamentals in electrical and electromechanical engineering
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Experience with electrical measurement instruments
- Practical, hands-on attitude in laboratory environments
- Basic knowledge of electric motor technologies
Nice to have
- Experience with AC and synchronous motors
- Basic knowledge of inverters and motor drives
- Familiarity with test environments (climatic chambers, shakers)
- English language knowledge
