Position Summary
We’re looking for a System Validation and Calibration Engineer in Arco (TN) Location.
System Validation and Calibration Engineer will execute the activities that will allow to integrate, check and approve the conformity of the systems with customer requirements.
In this role, the candidate is expected to collaborate with the rest of the team in defining, planning and performing testing campaign of mechatronic systems, leveraging Systems Engineering techniques with a holistic approach.

Main Responsibilities
Depending on the on-going projects and roles, Systems Validation and Calibration Engineer’s activities may include the following:
- Definition of V&V plans of mechatronic systems
- Utilization of tools and methods for software validation and calibration
- Laboratory and on-vehicle testing activities
- Experimental data post-processing and analysis
- Preparation, organization and presentation of project documentation (design documents, technical reports, costs analysis)
- Application of Systems Engineering principles and workflow defined by the One Dana Mechatronic System development approach
- Validation of mechatronic systems (hardware and software)
- Calibration of software for OH machines applications
- On field vehicle testing and performance evaluation
- Report out of V&V activities updates to management and leadership
Job Position Requirements
Education: University master degree - Mechanical/Mechatronic/Automation/Electronic Engineering
Professional background
3-5 years experience in Automotive/Industrial working on mechatronics projects.
Preferably including experimental/laboratory activities.
Hard skills
Essential:
- Very good engineering basics
- Familiarity with laboratory environment and equipment (prototyping and testing)
- Matlab/Simulink
- Familiarity with industrial CAN communication protocols (e.g. J1939, canOPEN, UDS)
- Fluent English
- Available to travel, if necessary, on medium (European) and long (Intercontinental) range for duration from 1 week to 2 weeks.
Considered as a plus:
- HIL SW environment
- Vector VectorCast/CanAlyzer/CanApe/Candela Studio
- IMC Data acquisition systems
