Analyst - Payroll, Time & Attendance

LT

Requisition:  64744

Job Purpose

Dana Incorporated is embarking on a transformative journey towards centralized Payroll, Time and Attendance within the Shared Service Organization. We are at the start of a multi-year project to implement a single provider for both payroll and workforce management globally.

This is a newly created role that sits at the center of that transformation. It offers a unique opportunity to make connections across the organization in various functions including finance, operations, and human resources.

Responsibilities will be heavily project-based as you take an active part in collecting information, testing and implementing new systems. You will work directly with local leadership to complete project tasks in close collaboration with the Global Project Steering Committee.

Over time, this role could evolve into an ADP Payroll and WFS subject matter expert responsible for ongoing operations, compliance, and support.

This is a hybrid position based in Vilnius, Lithuania with occasional travel. The ideal candidate will be able and willing to travel internationally.

Key responsiblities

Implementation Project Support

- Work directly with Country Leads to gather required payroll, time, HR, and statutory data for system configuration and validation

- Participate in end-to-end testing cycles (SIT, UAT, parallel testing) alongside Country Leads documenting defects, expected vs. actual outcomes, and support retesting activities

- Prepare test scenarios and support test script execution

- Validate conversion data and assist in reconciliation between legacy systems and the new payroll and time management platform

- Ensure accurate configuration of time rules, pay rules, and compliance requirements per country

- Monitor country-level implementation progress and flag concerns, risks or issues early

- Escalate items promptly to the Global Payroll & WFM Project Manager with clear impact and proposed next steps

Stakeholder Collaboration

- Partner closely with Country Leads, HR, Operations, Finance, and local SMEs to support implementation tasks and ongoing operations

- Support change management efforts as applicable; explaining what is changing, why it is changing, and helping people build confidence in the new way of working

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain structured documentation for each country, including data files, testing evidence, issues logs, and configuration details

- Develop process documentation, country playbooks, and training materials to support local teams transitioning from manual and locally managed payroll and timekeeping

- Provide status updates to the Global Payroll & WFM Project Manager

- Ensure that all activities follow global process standards and implementation methodologies

- Validate with the Global Payroll & WFM Project Manager all decisions, costs, and deliverables for final sign-off with the vendor

Payroll Operations

- Process payroll for assigned locations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with local legislation

- Assist with system and employee data maintenance

- Perform payroll reconciliations and support statutory reporting, audits, and internal controls as required

- Foster and maintain positive vendor relationship

- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll queries

What we are looking for

Skills & Competencies

- Systems mindset: understands how data flows across platforms, can spot integration issues, and asks the right diagnostic questions when something doesn’t add up

- Strong communication skills: able to work constructively with teams navigating unwanted change, address resistance respectfully, and build trust with plant-level teams with long-standing local processes

- Structured, process-oriented thinking with the ability to identify where standardization drives value and where true local variation is necessary

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work within structured project timelines and support cross-functional deliverables

- Technical aptitude: comfortable working with large data volumes and capable of learning new systems quickly

- Fluent English (written and spoken); German, French, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus

Required Experience

- Experience in HR or Shared Services, including but not limited to HR Operations, Benefits, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or General Ledger

- Proven ability to handle sensitive data professionally and confidentially

Helpful Experience

- 3–5 years in payroll operations, HR operations, or timekeeping systems; experience with ADP/SAP is preferred

- 3–5 years supporting process improvement, system implementation, or transformation initiatives

Key attributes for success

- Hands-on mindset. Must be willing to dive into details
- Ability to anticipate issues and escalate proactively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity
- High level of accountability and follow-through
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse, global teams

What this role offers

- An opportunity to build something from the ground up — not to maintain an existing process, but to contribute to the design and implementation of how payroll and time are managed globally
- Direct involvement in a high-visibility, multi-year transformation program with real organizational impact
- A clear development path as the Shared Services Center grows and the scope of the global function expands
